Two weeks ago, my FIL was stopped at an intersection and was hit from behind. He was pushed into the car in front of him. The guy behind sped past them and away, scot free. FIL asked MFH to go look at the car and estimate the damage. The driver of the hit car owned a car lot; the car was one that was for sale. He didn't let on at the time that he owned the lot; he professed to be test driving the car.
While at the lot, MFH notices an old Mercedes for sale. One of those dream cars that I want someday. He took me back on Saturday night. The light was on in the trailer(yeah, a real reputable place), and the salesman gave us a ridiculously low sale price.
So ridiculous, that we researched it and called first thing Monday morning to buy the car. The price was what they paid for the car - not it's resale - but they honored it. Not before offering us money(thousands) to NOT buy the car. Not before taking money from my FIL to fix the car that was rear ended and going to auction without repair. Not before disclosing that he bought the car from a guy that needed money to pay for his daughter's medical bills - and he paid for the car just what we paid for it - only half what it is worth as it sits.
So - I am the proud owner of a 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC at a stupid low price.
The owner of the lot took advantage of two people, one of whom I love.
He asked that we bring the car back to him if we decide we don't like it.
Yeah, right.

Yeah, what color is it? Is it a convertible?
When I was in HS in 1977, it was my dream car.
Congrats. You'll enjoy that.
